To our colleagues, peers, and supporters,

Since 1954, the Englewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps (EVAC) has served our community, The City of Englewood, with dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to providing emergency medical services. EVAC is a nonprofit emergency medical agency that relies on medical billing donations, and some city funds, to meet our operational budget. We work in conjunction with the Englewood Police Dept, Englewood Fire Dept, and the local hospitals' Mobile Intensive Care Units to ensure that every patient has received the highest quality of care. We have always worked hard to support our neighbors when they are in need.

However, due to declining membership and operational constraints, we find ourselves unable to continue our operations in a sustainable manner. It is with a heavy heart and after much consideration that we must officially inform you of the decision to begin the dissolution process of the Englewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps, effective April 1, 2024. This decision was not made lightly and follows thorough discussions and assessments of our organization's current situation and future prospects. Despite our best efforts to overcome the challenges we faced; it has become increasingly clear that sustaining our operations is no longer feasible.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all current and past members, volunteers, partners, officers, and supporters who have contributed their time, resources, and expertise to EVAC. Your dedication and service have made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless individuals during times of crisis. To the City of Englewood, we thank you for the opportunity to serve the community in such a deep and personal capacity.

As we navigate this transition, we are committed to ensuring a responsible and orderly process. We will work diligently to fulfill any outstanding obligations, settle financial matters, and facilitate the appropriate transfer of assets as per legal requirements.

While the decision to dissolve EVAC marks the end of an era, we remain hopeful that our collective efforts have laid a strong foundation for continued support of emergency medical services in our community.

Should you have any questions or require further information regarding the dissolution process, please do not hesitate to contact us at president@englewoodvac.org.

Thank you once again for your support and understanding during this challenging time.
